The SGGW Centre for Climate Research is an all-university and interdisciplinary scientific unit that aims to conduct scientific research of natural, economic and social processes in the context of progressive climate change. The research and teaching tasks carried out at the Center combine environmental engineering, horticulture, economics and forest sciences. The subjects of the Center’s basic and applied science projects are natural ecosystems, cities, lakes and rivers, agricultural areas and forests.

At the Centre for Climate Research, we are developing methods for valuing ecosystem benefits, protecting and restoring wetlands and rivers, and proper land use planning of areas so that they are increasingly resilient to the negative effects of climate change and bring economic and natural benefits at the same time.
