Finally the flood is here!

We are really excited that this year, due to snow melt, our river-floodplains experience flooding, which is especially pronounced at Biebrza river-floodplain. We have conducted a first set of measurements of greenhouse gas emissions from flooded areas of Biebrza and Narew flooded river-floodplains using trace greenhouse gas analyzer (7810). The preliminary findings indicate that flooding significantly increases CH₄ and CO₂. More detailed results are coming soon!
